Hey Girl Hey!

I'm Javonne Crumby, creator of Lesbionyx-- A space for queer women of color. As a Black woman who loves women, I grew tired of the lack of representation and resources for women like me. So I created a platform for us and by us, because no one tells our stories like us!

Thrown

To love a woman is to be brought in so close

To lean into the groove of her hip,

The curve of her breast is to dive into a universe naked,

Unshielded from impending wounds, impending doom

To love a woman is to think past survival,

Past oblivion

To grieve on a sunlit afternoon,

To bask in that grief, a wading pool

To love a woman is to travel far outside of the realm of ego.

Where she tread, spirit grows

To love a woman is to dine on her flesh and pick her from your teeth

Only to inevitably become feast

To love a woman is to be renewed, to be phoenix,

To experience all the colors of the spectrum

To love a woman is to dip your fingers in oil spilled from a challus of gold

To love a woman is to one day be deemed whole.
